Balloon Flpbook

The task for this brief was to create three flipbook animations of balloons in motion: a balloon being flicked, a balloon letting out air and a balloon filled with water interacting with an enviroment. I engaged with the task, and found the 'balloon filled with water' to be my most successful outcome: i think I was able to convey weight and the balloon's position in space well here.  I also think I did a good job depcting the turning-bounce motion.

For the 'flicking balloon' animation, I think I could have done better with depicting the initial flick. Maybe I could have included a stationary hand for a few frames, which would build anticipation. Moreover, the middle of the falling animation feels a bit flat: I could have done a better job depicting how air resistance affects the balloon: maybe showing it rotate with drag. Regardless, I am happy with the last few frames of the animation (as the balloon lands and rolls out of frame) as I feel like the movement was solid.

I think this final animation was a decent attempt at staging, however could have done with some inbetweens? Or maybe some more complex arcs of motion before the balloon hit the ground? I'm actually quite happy with the fluidity of movement, but I do feel like, especially in comparison to its companion pieces, this animations feels almost TOO simple.
